Income Generating Activities (IGA)

This program targets vulnerable women, particularly widows and those living with HIV/AIDS, OVCs, and grandmothers caring for vulnerable children. It seeks to address lack of economic opportunity for these groups of people by providing training and individualized instruction in entrepreneurship, marketing techniques for small businesses, micro finance, and the implementation of income-generating activities.

Most of IGA activities are rural, including agriculture: banana, mushroom, popcorn, sweet potato, Yams, Cassava, vegetables, fruits) and livestock (piggery, chicken rearing, beekeeping, cattle keeping, goat keeping). There are also some service activities (tailoring and design; arts and craft; hair dressing and style; and baking)
