Children are left suffering

Despite the existing government statutes in Uganda, their legal systems and services are very limited and even the limited existing ones are disjointly working. The examples that prove the way in which the Justice system does not work, is oftentimes the rich use their wealth to drive away the people that are less well off, stripping away their land, their shelters, and food.

Another instance involves the many times vulnerable groups of parents pass away and their children are left suffering with their properties taken away, resulting in homelessness.

We work to provide a voice to the unheard.

EACO Uganda strives to provide awareness and opportunity for the less fortunate. This program equips legal experts who will provide legal representation at no cost to vulnerable individuals, such as, widows and orphans. EACO’s community research has found that the majority of citizens are partially or completely unaware of their rights. EACO seeks to provide a public understanding of individual’s rights through local Council Meetings, Community Sensitizations, local radios and other media that is easily accessible to the community.
